You can lock me down anytime, as long as I have a big pot of turkey chili with all the toppings lined up! — Deliciousness for days! I love to make this chili in large amounts for the family. This one pot meal is a game day/crowd pleaser; it will have the entire family shouting for more!
Lockdown Turkey Chili

Ingredients

- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1lb ground turkey
- 5 large garlic cloves
- 1 large yellow onion
- 1 large green bell pepper
- 1 tbsp sweet paprika or chili powder
- 1 tbsp cumin
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp sea salt
- 3 large tomatoes
- 1 bunch of parsley
- 6–8 cups hot water
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 bunch of cilantro
Instructions
- Chop all veggies and set aside.
- Add olive oil, garlic, onion, and green pepper to pot, add some salt to sweat the veggies, cook for 1-2 mins on medium heat.
- Next add in the ground turkey and cook on medium for 5 min.
- Mix in your chopped tomatoes and parsley and half of all seasonings.
- Last add in your 6-8 cups of hot water, cover and cook on medium for 15-20min.
- Uncover after 15-20min and add in 1 tbsp. of tomato paste, remainder of seasonings and a bunch of chopped cilantro.
- Cover and continue to cook on medium heat for 10-15min more or until chili has thickened some.
- Serve hot with your favorite toppings!

Chili Toppings: We love adding yummy toppings to our chili. I place them in bowls and let the kids go for it! Here are some of our favorites: Cheddar cheese shreds, avocado, coconut yogurt, chopped scallions, hot sauce, chopped cilantro, salsa, tortilla chips, shredded lettuce and jalapenos
