Sage Sausage Toast

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • ½ cup Ground turkey
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Sage
  • 2 small slices, or 1 large toast
  • 10 Spinach leaves
  • 10 button Mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 small Onion, sliced
  • 1 small Green pepper, sliced
  • ¼ cup shredded cheese
  • ½  tsp 21 day seasoning salute or salt free seasoning
  • Sea Salt/Black Pepper

 

 


Instructions

  1. Season: ground turkey with sea salt/black pepper, 21 day seasoning salute (or salt free seasoning) and minced sage, form two small patties.
  2. Cook: Add to a hot pan with 1 tsp of olive oil, saute both sides 5 min each, set aside. Take remaining tsp of olive oil and saute onions, green peppers and mushrooms for about 5 min.
  3. Toast: bread, set aside. Once done, build your toast, add fresh spinach leaves, turkey sausage patties, shredded cheese and hot veggies on top.

Notes

Ground Turkey: My favorite ground turkey for this Sage Sausage toast is white ground turkey breast, compared to the dark meat, its much leaner, has less fat, and is so delicious in this recipe!
