Toasted Turmeric Chickpeas are one of my favorite side dishes! The turmeric, cumin and fresh cilantro make these chickpeas so flavorful. Add them to a burrito bowl or top them to a gorgeous green salad and you will be in love!
Toasted Turmeric Chickpeas

Ingredients

- 2 cups chickpeas
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- sea salt/black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Chickpeas: In a grill pan add olive oil with chickpeas, toast in oil for about 3-5 min.
- Season: Add seasonings, and fresh cilantro, cook 3-5 more minutes shaking grill pan back and forth. Serve warm.
Notes
For the Chickpeas: I use my grill pan and a high heat to get the chickpeas nice and toasty. The turmeric and cumin add a beautiful golden brown color.
